WOMEN Expo will be held at Embassy Suites, in Schaumburg

Schaumburg, IL, October 14, 2007 - Palatine Business & Professional Women and Remarkable Women Magazine have joined forces to sponsor an inaugural event: Women's Organizations Meeting To Empower and Network (WOMEN) Expo is at Embassy Suites, 1939 N Meacham Rd, Schaumburg , October 24, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Attendees can expect to learn about other networking opportunities by meeting contacts for women's networking groups and have the chance to network with other like-minded women. "Bringing women's groups together provides a higher level of networking than what you can gain from attending a single meeting with any of the participating groups," said Shelly Blake, past president of Palatine Business and Professional Women (BPW) and a WOMEN event organizer.

"This would be a great opportunity to attend for women who are self-employed, an employee, owner, or retired," Blake said.

WOMEN Expo hopes to accomplish an opportunity for Northwest Suburban women to find out what organizations are out there that suit their needs, fit their schedules, and provide them with networking opportunities to be involved socially, politically, within their communities and in charitable activities. "The expo format gives attendees the ability to learn about all of these groups in one evening rather than spending weeks or months traveling to each individual group's meeting place," Blake said.

All attendees are eligible for the drawing of a two night stay at the Embassy Suites. Attendees will have a chance to network with some of the local organizations and groups including DuPage Women's Network, Dynamic Link, eWomen Network, League of Women Voters, North Shore Professional Women's Association, Northwest Suburban NOW/Code Pink, Optimal Level, Palatine BPW, and Single Working Women's Affiliate Network (SWWAN). "We are still accepting sponsorships by local women-owned businesses," Blake said.
